Lezley George at the Welsh BAFTAs
Lezley George attended the Welsh Baftas as a guest of Beverly Soar from Cardiff boutique Poppers. Hip and happening Poppers has become a fashionable celeb magnet and sponsored the Baftas Costume Award.
The Welsh designer wore one of her own creations, but was clearly not the only one who had chosen her label. “We dressed 13 ladies for the Welsh Baftas,” said Beverly from Poppers, “at least 7 or 8 of them in Lezley George. TV presenter Alex Jones, who presented an award was wearing Lezley George, so was Emily Tucker from ‘Belonging’.”
Lezley George who enjoyed the evening in the company of ‘Big Brother 7’ contestant Glyn Wise was just as impressed with the recent Welsh achievements in the TV sector as she was with the fashion sense of her compatriots.
