Autumn Winter 2007

Inspired by the decorative decadence of Gustav Klimt's Art Nouveau and its elongated shapes, Lezley George's Autumn/Winter 07 collection combines slouchy sophistication and effortless elegance with a myriad of colours and textures.

Sumptuous jacquard wraps, flirty flutter dresses and low waisted long coats are reminiscent of the silhouettes of the 1920s whereas twister sleeved trouser suits have a contemporary cutting edge feel. Elegant evolutionary jackets can also be worn upside down for a more avant-garde utilitarian look. Draping and corsages add femininity to the more structured pieces, pleated patchwork coats and jackets guarantee a dramatic Fin de Siècle style entrance.

Alongside warm winter wools and the softest smocked polar fleece, there are gorgeous silk felt fabrics, architectural taffetas and floaty
chiffon. Warm rust and chestnut tones are contrasted with frosty green and turquoise. Autumnal berry shades, tea rose pink and deep petrol blue, graphite and jet black complete the moody palette.
